The successful candidate will assume leadership in St. Andrew’s Music Ministry, working with the Minister, Choir and occasionally other musicians at Sunday services and on other occasions such as Good Friday, Christmas Eve, community services and the Christmas Carol Service, as required.

Music Matters 2019!! April 26-28 in Halifax!

Music Matters 2019, the national annual event presented by Music United, will be held April 26-28th and will be hosted at St. Andrews United Church in Halifax!

The learning event held on Friday April 26th and Saturday April 27th includes eight interactive workshops with topics for Voice, Music in Worship, a three-part stream of Hymn Composition & Copyright, Working with Children, Spirituality, Anthem Reading sessions (participants receive a package of anthems they can keep!) and more.

Worship and the Annual General Meeting are held Sunday April 28th and are open for all participants – join the choir during worship and include your voice in the AGM!

Music Matters 2019 is coming to Halifax!

Your Music United executive has just confirmed the dates and location for our annual educational conference and AGM for Music United: Music Matters 2019 will take place April 25-28 at St. Andrew’s United Church in Halifax, Nova Scotia! Work is underway to determine the overall schedule and list of workshops being offered this year – a full schedule listing will be posted as soon as possible, likely early in the new year. Check out last year’s schedule from London, Ontario to get a sense of what to expect, and the video highlights from Saskatoon in 2017 for the flavour of the event.
