Munn’s United Church, a congregation of the United Church of Canada, is a vibrant community of faith with 174 years of history in Oakville, Ontario.
We are seeking a creative and talented musician who will lead our congregation by honouring our traditions while also appealing to younger members as the North Oakville community continues to grow all around us.
The Music Director will:
- Lead all aspects of the music ministry in consultation with the Minister and Worship & Music Committee
- Recommend a variety of traditional and contemporary musical options within worship to meet the needs of a diverse congregation
- Accompany our choir and congregation on our Yamaha Clavinova CVP-705 instrument
- Have experience with other musical instruments and modern music technology
- Coach, direct and accompany our church choir(s) during regular and special services
- Work cooperatively with church staff members, groups and committees
This part-time position is based on 10-12 hours per week. The compensation package will be negotiable based on qualifications and experience and will be based on the RCCO guidelines.
