Port Hope United Church in Port Hope, Ontario seeks a creative, passionate and technically proficient person, with the ability to introduce and balance sacred and contemporary music, to assume choral and keyboard music leadership in our congregation of faith.
Our sanctuary, one of the finest acoustic venues in Ontario, has a fully refurbished 1952 Casavant Pipe Organ (3-manuals), and a Yamaha grand piano. Our Choir (singing weekly) has 21 SATB voices. With one rehearsal a week and one Sunday service, in addition to weekly meetings with clergy leaders and monthly with the Worship Committee. it is estimated that this part-time position will demand 10-13 hours a week. The appointee will be expected to meet annually with representatives of the Board to evaluate past achievements and explore a vision for the future. Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as described in the RCCO Salary Guidelines.
