Terry Head: In Memoriam

The Executive of Music United: The United Church of Canada Association of Musicians mourns the loss of our treasured friend, colleague and past president, Terry Head. Terry passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 17, 2019. During our regular teleconference meeting we shared a special time of remembrance and gratitude in honour of Terry’s (Terrance Christopher Head) immense contributions to sacred music in our wider church community. MU President Jason Locke writes: “Terry was a wonderful presence, a talented colleague and a kind friend. I know that many of us have had beautiful moments of connection with him and he will be dearly missed in our Music United community. Terry and I had a long and spirited conversation just a week ago… He was deeply committed to the cause of making beautiful music for the good of the community. People were drawn closer to God and to each other through his life. Take a moment and stop this evening to breathe a prayer of thanksgiving for a friend and colleague whose ministry touched the world with grace and beauty.”

Please join us in holding his family, and his entire church family at First-St. Andrew’s United Church in London Ontario in our prayers. On behalf of all of Music United, we offer our support and love at this sad time.

We miss you, Terry.
