Hi, my name is Brad Ratzlaff, Music Director at Trinity-St.Pauls United Church in Toronto. I’m planning my sabbatical for the winter of 2017, and will be connecting with John Bell of the Iona Community in Glasgow in March. I would like to apply for the Oxford Endowment Fund to help with travel costs, and accommodation. I’m wondering if there is deadline to get this application in for consideration. Thanks so much!

Hi Brad. Our Oxford Fund Committee changed its way of handling applications a while ago, and now meets roughly monthly to consider requests. This means specific deadlines for applications are gone – applications are considered as they are received, and response time is much quicker. I would, however, encourage you and everyone else to apply as soon as you can when seeking funding – if your application arrives just after a meeting date it could still take a couple of months to hear back.

I applied for the Oxford Fund on March 5, 2018 and sent the application and letters of support to worship@united-church.ca as per a comment on the Music United Facebook page as I couldn’t otherwise see where to send the application. Please confirm that I sent it to the correct place, or redirect me accordingly. Thank you for your help.
