Olivet United Church is seeking a part-time Music Director, for a term beginning August 1, 2015 and ending July 31st, 2016. The Olivet congregation enjoys a wide range of music experiences with regular participation by our Chancel Choir and our Praise  Group and occasional participation of a Hand Bell group and our Junior Church Children.  Our sanctuary has wonderful acoustics, a Baby Grand piano and a 2 manual Allen Digital Computer (1988) organ.  A Yamaha DGX 650 B keyboard is also used in worship and rehearsals.  Three upright pianos are available in other areas of the Church.

Olivet United Church, as a part of the United Church of Canada, is called to serve God’s Mission.  Throughout its history, music has been an integral part of its worship services
opportunity to praise God.  Music in our worship services supports the scripture and messages and is at times praise, prayer, and celebration.

Church of the Ascension is searching for a part-time music director to plan worship music, coordinate volunteer musicians, play keyboard/organ, and lead singing for the services. Music at Ascension is eclectic, and reflects the diversity of the community and the gifted musicians who offer their skills. It ranges from traditional and contemporary hymns to Taizé and praise music. Jazz and classical music, along with folk, the blues and world music also play important roles in our worship. The goal of music at Ascension is primarily to honour God, to help the community celebrate and offer support on our journey of faith.

Knox United Church, Parksville, is looking for a music leader/accompanist. We are a large, active congregation in transition, excited about our future. Music is important to us. Trinity St Andrew’s United Church in Renfrew, Ontario, is currently searching for an accompanist. This person shall provide musical accompaniment for all regular worship services of our church. They shall support our music director and 15 voice choir. The instruments with which they shall work are:

• a pipe organ, the Essex series made by the Rogers Organ Company; and
• a K. Kawai baby grand piano.

The total time commitment expected is 4 hours per week with 5 Sundays off per year. An honorarium is provided.

Faith United Church, Courtice, is seeking an enthusiastic music facilitator to be part of our leadership team for our friendly, positive, growing congregation of approximately 160 regular attendees. Our church has a 3 manual Casavant Freres organ, a Heintzman grand piano, a full size Roland digital piano, and assorted percussion instruments to support vocalists and a 25 voice choir. The position currently involves 14 hours per week with one Sunday service at 10:30 am and weekly vocalists and choir practices.
