Northlea United Church, Toronto, ON, seeks a Music Director

Northlea United Church (125 Brentcliffe Rd., Toronto ON, M4G 3Y7 in North Leaside) is currently seeking an enthusiastic musician with strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to work creatively with our Minister to lead our music program. We are searching for a versatile individual who envisions music and congregational singing as an integral part of the worship experience and who is equally a skilled organist and pianist.

The sanctuary has a well maintained three manual Allen digital organ and a Yamaha baby grand piano. With approximately 14 SATB voices, the dedicated adult choir rehearses weekly on Thursday evenings under the leadership of the Music Director and leads the congregation in the weekly worship service. It is estimated that this position will require from 16-18 hours per week depending on the specific qualifications of the successful candidate. Experience in both traditional and contemporary music is an asset with a willingness to work with other musicians from time to time as needed. The Music Director is responsible to the congregation of Northlea United Church through the Ministry & Personnel Committee.  Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications as described in the RCCO Salary Guidelines.
