Music Director needed at Bracebridge United Church, Bracebridge, ON

Bracebridge United Church is seeking a music director to begin in September, 2015.  This part-time position is one of five positions on a ministry team also comprised of two full-time ministers, a church administrator, and a youth worker.

Bracebridge United Church is a lively Christian community with roots in our pioneer heritage of faith, worship, and service.  We are a welcoming, serving church which recognizes and accepts the challenge of ministry in a growing, changing Muskoka Community.

Music plays a vital and integral roll in our worship and is expressed in both traditional and contemporary styles at our two Sunday services.  The 9:00 a.m. service is less formal and is held in the auditorium where there is an Yahama Clavinova keyboard.  The 10:30 a.m. service is held in the sanctuary which offers a two manual pipe organ (rebuilt by Keates Organ in 1976) and an upright piano.   Talented resources within our congregation include members of the Senior Choir and members of seven groups led by volunteer leaders , namely;  Bells-A-Pealing, Bracebridge Bells United, Joyful Noise, The Praise Band, The Olde Tyme Gospel Band, The Junior Choir, and The Drumming Group.

This position requires approximately 13 hours a week with a salary based on qualifications and experience.  A detailed job description can be found on our website
