The Mount Albert United Church in the town of East Gwillimbury, Ontario is seeking a choir leader and pianist/organist to join our enthusiastic congregation. Candidates with energy and ideas to inspire and provoke are invited to come and share in our journey forward.
Reporting to the Minister the successful candidate will offer ideas and accept guidance from the Minister and the Worship Committee regarding musical direction. Remuneration will be consistent with the RCCO Table of Recommended Salaries (2017). The duties of the candidate shall also include;
a) Choir Rehearsal – 1.5 hours/week
b) Coaching individual performers – 1.0 hour/week
c) Pre-Service preparation – 0.5 hour/week
d) Service – 1.5 hours/week
e) Personal Rehearsal time – 4.5 hours/week
f) Meetings/Consultation – 1.0 hour/week
Mount Albert United Church’s instruments include the following;
a) Allen 2 Manual MDS-40-S Organ,
b) Wm. Knabe Concert Series Grand Piano,
c) Drum kit
d) Selection of other percussion instruments
e) Schulmerich Handbells (3 Octaves)
f) External Bell Chimes
